We propose and experimentally demonstrate a novel orthogonal-gradient-depolarized OFDM/OQAM-based ultrahigh-capacity (3.2-Tb/s) nonlinear dispersion-insensitive transmission over 160-km single-mode fiber (SMF). The OFDM/OQAM signals exhibit low inter-symbol-interference (ISI) and have a wide electrical spectrum; therefore, they require a short optical carrier-to-noise ratio (CNR) to preserve the waveforms. For the use of four-level OQAM, we have to use the IQ-modulator-based four-level OQAM, which is not suitable for high-speed transmission over SMF. To overcome this limitation, we employ a three-level orthogonal-gradient-depolarized OQAM that provides the high-speed transmission with a wide electrical spectrum. To preserve the waveforms of the OFDM/OQAM signals, the new modulation scheme requires a short optical CNR. Therefore, we use three-level orthogonal-gradient-depolarized OQAM in a type-0-OQAM-based rate-mismatch FEC to achieve a high-capacity (1.5-Tb/s) transmission over 160-km SMF. The proposed new modulation scheme provides a wide electrical spectrum and the necessary short optical CNR at the transmitter side, thus maintaining the waveforms of the OFDM/OQAM signals. Furthermore, we experimentally demonstrate a transmission with a 1.5-Tb/s capacity over 160-km SMF. The measured eye-opening for four-level OFDM/OQAM signals is 0.919 dB, which is reduced to 0.638 dB for three-level orthogonal-gradient-depolarized OQAM signals. Our transmission offers a rate-compatible transmission with the FEC-OQAM-based rate
